Trivia Question❓
Which country is credited with popularizing the tradition of toasting with Champagne on New Year’s Eve?
Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

🥂 Drink of the Week: French 77
A softer, more botanical take on the French 75, with elderflower liqueur and sparkling wine. It’s floral, fizzy, and made for fresh starts.
Ingredients:
1 oz gin
0.5 oz St.Germain (elderflower liqueur)
0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
Sparkling wine to top
Garnish: lemon twist or edible flower
Directions:
Shake gin, St.Germain, and lemon juice with ice.
Strain into a chilled coupe or flute.
Top with sparkling wine and garnish.
Light, fragrant, and way too easy to enjoy.
The Toast Is Yours
There’s a moment, right before the clink of glasses, when everything softens.
A room gets quiet. Eyes meet. And someone says, “To…”
It’s a pause—an invitation.
And this year, we hope you claim it.
To trying again. To slower mornings. To being softer with ourselves.
Whatever you need to say this year, say it in a glass. Or write it on a napkin. Or whisper it to no one. The toast doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be yours.
Want to try it? Use this fill-in-the-glass formula: "To less (something you’re ready to let go of), to (something you’re ready to embrace)... and to (the tiny things that make it all worth toasting.)"
Example:
“To less expectations, to gentler mornings, and to moments shared at the kitchen counter.”

💡 Answer to Trivia Question:
France — Champagne became the iconic celebratory drink in the 18th century, thanks to French royals and its association with luxury and success.
